Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. See you on Saturday at the Meridian of
Santomojo if you're in Houston!
So, the winter is upon us, and we're hunkering down to work more exclusively on our new record. That means that we don't have a lot of shows coming up this year. :(
But there are 2 more big ones for those of you in Houston:
Santomojo (11/25) and
Cezanne (12/8).
Santomojo is a huge festival with tons of ridiculous bands. It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and if you are a music fan in any way shape or form, you should come to this. We go on at 3:45pm, and there's music till 3am.
Cezanne is our old stomping ground, and the location where we recorded our latest CD (titled, efficiently,
Cezanne). We'll be playing 3 sets starting at 9pm.
Hope to see you there!
A fan in Italy, Tommaso, wrote this poem to go along with our song Wreck Of The Zephyr.
Dancing on the Zephyr
E poi sempre.
Quando saremo lontano da questo tempo.
Bonus points to the best English translation!
We had a fun time on Saturday night playing at the
Concert Pub with the
Morrison Resurrection Experiment. Our set was great (and well received), and "The Doors" put on one hell of a show. Here's Richard Zemcik on the keys (and Rhodes key bass!):
And here's Hank Schyma on the ... well, on the floor:
Way to give it your all, guys.
We're in Bryan tonight at
Revolution. Our buddy
Topaz will be playing sax with us.
It gets out of control in Bryan when we play Revolution. Here's a pic of the band (at Revolution in January '06) just before Ian laid a smack down on my ass for making fun of his ponytail. I've hated him ever since.
But look at it!!! What a dork. We'll probably fight tonight.
We had a blast last friday playing in Denton, TX, with our friends
Sol Kitchen. They kicked a lot of ass.
When Gaah(n) introduced us, he said "Drop Trio is up next, and they're gonna melt your lunch." Rad.
Gaah(n) came up and
sat in with us for a couple tunes, too:
Great night - thanks for having us out, guys.
