Tuesday, November 28, 2006 - Cezanne Show

Mark your calendar! Our last Houston show of 2006, at Houston's top jazz club.

Sunday, November 26, 2006 - Can't stop the mojo
Big thanks to all our fans who came out to the Santomojo festival. It was a rad day of music.

New finds: Moonshine Still (holy crap!), Lazlo Hollyfeld (Jamie was right! they are teh haxor!)

Old favs: Grass, Groovin' Ground, The Greyhounds, ASHS, Moving Matter, Little Brother Project (watch for their new album), Moses Guest, Catfish Whiskey, Blendt, and the SK-1 Project. All amazing!

Plus the first Houston show for Proteus, an Austin-based prog rock band that brought Ian in as a 2nd keyboard player.

Looking forward to next year!

Thursday, November 23, 2006 - Happy T-day
Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. See you on Saturday at the Meridian of Santomojo if you're in Houston!

Friday, November 17, 2006 - 2 more Houston shows this year
So, the winter is upon us, and we're hunkering down to work more exclusively on our new record. That means that we don't have a lot of shows coming up this year. :(

But there are 2 more big ones for those of you in Houston: Santomojo (11/25) and Cezanne (12/8).

Santomojo is a huge festival with tons of ridiculous bands. It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and if you are a music fan in any way shape or form, you should come to this. We go on at 3:45pm, and there's music till 3am.

Cezanne is our old stomping ground, and the location where we recorded our latest CD (titled, efficiently, Cezanne). We'll be playing 3 sets starting at 9pm.

Hope to see you there!

Thursday, November 09, 2006 - Lo Zephyr in Italia
A fan in Italy, Tommaso, wrote this poem to go along with our song Wreck Of The Zephyr.
Dancing on the Zephyr

E poi sempre.
Quando saremo lontano da questo tempo.

Bonus points to the best English translation!

Tuesday, November 07, 2006 - Resurrection Experiments
We had a fun time on Saturday night playing at the Concert Pub with the Morrison Resurrection Experiment. Our set was great (and well received), and "The Doors" put on one hell of a show. Here's Richard Zemcik on the keys (and Rhodes key bass!):

Richard Z on the keys

And here's Hank Schyma on the ... well, on the floor:

Way to give it your all, guys.

Friday, November 03, 2006 - Bryan
We're in Bryan tonight at Revolution. Our buddy Topaz will be playing sax with us.

It gets out of control in Bryan when we play Revolution. Here's a pic of the band (at Revolution in January '06) just before Ian laid a smack down on my ass for making fun of his ponytail. I've hated him ever since.

But look at it!!! What a dork. We'll probably fight tonight.

Wednesday, November 01, 2006 - Last Friday in Denton
We had a blast last friday playing in Denton, TX, with our friends Sol Kitchen. They kicked a lot of ass.

When Gaah(n) introduced us, he said "Drop Trio is up next, and they're gonna melt your lunch." Rad.

Gaah(n) came up and sat in with us for a couple tunes, too:

Gaah(n) sits in

Great night - thanks for having us out, guys.

Spaceship jazz from Texas.
