The scale of the Southwestern landscape makes it difficult to describe. You can see more pictures on

With a relatively short distance to drive for the show in Santa Fe, we got a chance to feel somewhat like normal humans. I guess normal humanness doesn't suit us - we decided to set up and practice in Roy and Irene's living room. Our new friend and eager running partner, Zefs, danced up a storm.
A storm was rolling in when we arrived at the Santa Fe Brewing Company. Incredibly, the storm passed over us. Rather -- the storm passed over us incredibly. Against the huge sky, we could see the rain distinctly. As it came and passed over us, the rain never reached the ground.
Our afternoon practice time made for a tight set and gave us a chance to stretch out on some new tunes. We didn't, however, inspire any disco dancing. Our new friends who showed up deserve big thanks.
Roy and Irene are the best friends and hosts touring musicians could hope for.
